Adopt Your Next Family Member from the Society!

At the Society’s South Windham, Maine farm there are always rehabilitated animals who are hoping for a family and a forever home.  If you are willing and able to open your heart to an animal, once abused or neglected, we welcome your interest. We don’t guarantee that you will receive an animal, but we do promise to consider your application, check your references, and let you know whether the Society has an animal that is the right match for your circumstances.

The Society places horses, cats, and some other species of animals in private homes.  If you adopt, you own the animal with the Society. Should you have to return the animal or part with it for any reason; the Society will happily receive the animal back into care.

On line postings and photos of animals is new for the MSSPA, so please bear with us as we strive to make the adoption process work well for everyone, particularly the animals.

Society President Marilyn Goodreau is the final decision maker for every Society adoption. Your application to adopt a large animal will be considered by Marilyn; applications to adopt cats may also be considered by Eve.

Thanks for visiting the Society’s adoption gallery. Please visit often? We will be adding new animals as time permits. Giving a Society animal a forever home is the gift of a lifetime.
