Welcome to the LJK Korral for e-commerce here at the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals. Our e-store is named in honor of Lawrence J. Keddy, an extraordinary humanitarian whose generosity and commitment to animals significantly contributed to the long term success of the Society. Mr. Keddy worked hard throughout his life in an effort to develop a haven for large animals seized by law enforcement agents in Maine. In large measure, Mr. Keddy’s influence and generosity laid the foundation for the organization, which has served thousands of abused or neglected large animals by restoring them to health. The MSSPA also places animals in appropriate forever homes. If recovered animals are not able to be placed in private homes, they are maintained at the Society for the balance of their natural lives.
You are cordially invited to shop the LJK Korral with confidence that your name and address will not be shared, the merchandise you buy will be high quality, and that a full refund will be provided for merchandise returned due to customer dissatisfaction.*
All proceeds from the sale of merchandise in the LJK Korral are used for the care of animals at facilities of the MSSPA.
Thank you for shopping at the LJK Korral. Please visit often and, if possible, visit the MSSPA farm located at 279 River Road, South Windham, Maine. The farm is open to the public without charge, daily from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm; barns close at 3:00 pm to permit night feeding of the animals.
The MSSPA is a tax-exempt 501(c) (3) and receives no federal, state or local funding. The Society is entirely funded by membership dues, donations, bequests, grants, and fund-raising activities. The Society does not charge for its services and seeks no reimbursement from any public source. The MSSPA provides more than one million dollars in services each year to the taxpayers of Maine and salvation to abused animals.
