When he was about 9 months old, Marley came to the MSSPA in the fall of 2014 with fellow Tennessee Walking horse, Penny. After laying the foundation, in December of 2017, the Society partnered with Horses With Hope to further his training. At HWH, Marley began work under saddle, wearing both English and Western tack, and worked through all of their obstacles with ease.

In a post on their website, HWH wrote, “Those gaits really are comfy to ride, and with continued training we’re sure that Marley will make someone a lovely pleasure and trail horse.”

How right they were!

After just 5 months of training with Horses With Hope, in May of 2018, Marley found his right people. He is now staying here in Maine with Nancy and Joe, a lovely couple who looks forward to building a lifelong partnership with him. Marley will be going on pleasure rides with his new mom and enjoying his time with their Percheron who was in need of a pal.

We are absolutely thrilled for Marley and his new family and wish them the best of luck and a great many happy years together!
