Ride to Rescue 2021

Join up with other caring horse lovers and Ride to Rescue for the Neglected 20!

What is Ride to Rescue?

Ride to Rescue is a fundraiser for the rescued horses being rehabilitated at the River Road shelter. Horse lovers can participate by creating and sharing their own fundraising page or by making a donation to someone else’s ride. This year, the focus is on the Neglected 20, a herd of 20 horses who arrived at the shelter on a single day in July. Many of these horses need significant veterinary care, farrier work, and refeeding. In addition to the Neglected 20, there were 27 horses already in the River Road shelter and more new arrivals since. Together with you, MSSPA supporters will raise $21,000 in 2021 for this big herd!

Once you’ve made a page, just share it on Facebook, send an email about it, make a TikTok, or even talk to your friends and family in person about why helping the rescued horses is so important to you.  One way to get people excited is to commit to riding your own horse and ask for pledges.  You decide when, where, and how long to ride.  No horse?  No problem!  Ride your bike or anything else you like.  The whole idea is to raise the funds needed for the Neglected 20 and to have fun doing it!
