Field Notes: A Half-Day Retreat of Yoga, Horses, and Art
with Ashley Flowers, 500RYT yoga teacher and Jude Valentine, MFA visual artist

Slow down. Breathe deep. Take note. And tap into your creative self!

Join us at the farm for Field Notes – a half-day retreat blending yoga, horse connection, and creative expression into a soul-nourishing, rejuvenating experience. Held at the River Road Farm, this retreat invites you to reconnect with yourself and the natural world through breath, movement, stillness, and art making.

We’ll begin with a short circle to set intentions and tune into the landscape around us. From there, you’ll move through a gentle, all-levels yoga practice in the field, held in the quiet company of rescued horses. After class, enjoy a light, provided lunch and time to relax, explore the farm, or simply be with the horses.

The retreat continues with a watercolor painting session inspired by the landscape, the horses – and your inner creative fire! No experience is necessary – just a willingness to tap in and experiment with curiosity. Yes, if you choose, you’ll take home a painting of a horse!

We’ll close the day with a short reflection to integrate and share anything the retreat has stirred.

Whether you’re craving rest, inspiration, or just some time outdoors with kind humans and animals, Field Notes offers a moment to pause and take it all in. Please bring yourself!
