When? Visit days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday only. One-hour time spots are available. See the date and time options on the calendar below to submit your reservation. Scroll down to read about special “Horsing Around” September Saturdays (regular visit policies apply)! Visits without a reservation are not allowed.
Who? One time spot can accommodate from 1 to 8 individuals total, including children.
Where? River Road farm, where you will have access to picnic tables equipped with umbrellas. A Porta-Potty is available for visitors. We ask that you refrain from entering the Visitors Center.
How? Visitors are welcome to bring their own food, beverages, and supplies. Please plan to carry out all refuse; leave nothing behind but your hoofprints! Alcoholic beverages, smoking, and vaping are strictly forbidden on the MSSPA property. No picnic? No problem! You are also welcome to simply walk the property during your scheduled time spot. Many of the horses are excited to make new friends and will approach the fence to meet you and receive your pets and scratches.
What Else? Information packets and goodie bags for kids are provided. A volunteer will greet visitors and answer questions. If your scheduled time spot is rained out or you are not able to attend, you can reschedule and cancel from your confirmation email, or contact the MSSPA to reschedule. The MSSPA reserves the right to cancel scheduled visits at any time. Every effort will be made to give advanced warning.
