This work of art was created using a used green and white horse blanket from MSSPA for the body of the bag, bottom, and front pocket. Designer fabric depicting various horses lines the inside top third of the bag. Green trim, brown leather handles, an inside zipper pocket, an upcycled clasp, and metal rivets complete this stunning piece. This custom bag was lovingly handcrafted in Maine by two horsewomen with a desire to support rescue horses.

Windy River was the first foal born at River Road Farm in over 20 years. This Thoroughbred cross gelding has matured into a curious, playful, intelligent horse who loves human attention. He has captured many hearts during his time at the Society. Will you be his this Valentine’s Day?
Arabian Breeze or “Breezy” celebrates his first birthday this month. From the start, this Arabian gelding has been a fearless horse who loves attention from humans and other horses. He is busy growing and learning all he can about the world. This confident fella would love to be your cutie pie this Valentine’s Day!
Tripp came to the MSSPA as part of the Neglected 20. This sweet Belgian cross gelding is extremely shy and nervous around people. Luckily, he’s benefitting from the expertise of the trainers at Horses with Hope who are focused on increasing his comfort when being handled. This gentle giant would love a few well-placed neck scratches and nose kisses this Valentine’s Day!
Tater Tot came to the MSSPA last fall, overweight and with seriously neglected feet. This mini horse gelding, with his unique looks, instantly mesmerized everyone who met or saw him. Although he has recently been adopted, this tiny horse would still be delighted with a big hug from you this Valentine’s Day!
Phoebe also came to the Society as part of the Neglected 20 with young filly Izzy in tow. This Mustang mare was afraid to be caught and handled but eventually showed her brave side to the staff. She’s enjoying her days at the farm as she continues to grow strong and comfortable around humans. Will she be your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day?
