You Make All the Difference

Now, more than ever, your support is crucial to keeping the barn doors open to horses who have experienced abuse and neglect. As our families and friends across Maine and loved ones around the world experience the crisis of COVID-19 and its many consequences, horses here at the shelter still need care every day. You and your gifts will make all the difference. Donate here.

If you are a horse owner who has been negatively impacted by the pandemic, MSSPA may be able to help with the costs of feed. Apply for assistance at msspa.org/hay. Thank you to the many generous donors who have made this temporary support available to help keep eligible privately owned horses fed.

Though the River Road farm is closed to volunteers and the public, MSSPA staff cannot work from home. We will be physically present at the shelter each day to continue giving the rescued horses a renewed opportunity for a healthy, happy life.

Without your support, it simply couldn’t be done; thank you!
