Roxie is a very sweet and friendly mare who tends to be on the submissive side in the herd. She has been turned out with mares and geldings and does very well with both. She is currently barefoot and living outside 24/7 with a run-in shed. She has also been stalled at night and does well in both management situations. Roxie is a very easy keeper, so she’d do well with limited pasture or managed grazing. She is good for the vet and farrier.
She is a shy and sensitive girl, but once you earn her trust, she’ll follow you anywhere. If you are looking for real connection that is earned, a beautiful, sensitive partner, or a fun horse to do groundwork or liberty with, Roxie might be your girl! We have not tested her under saddle at this time, as she has shown some stiffness in her hind end. Stay tuned – as we get her feeling a bit better and fitter, we may find she’s up for some light riding as well!
