Sophie is a big, beautiful mare with an even bigger heart. She has a super sweet personality and truly wants to please. Sophie is great for the vet. She is barefoot and does well for the farrier, though she can be a little heavy-footed, so we recommend a home with draft horse experience.
In her previous home, Sophie was started under saddle, but she’s still considered green. We’re currently working on building up her muscle and strength to support her continued progress.
Sophie has Cushing’s disease and is treated with daily Prascend. Because of this, she’ll need a dry lot or turnout with very sparse grass to keep her feeling her best.
