Lainey joined the MSSPA herd in July of 2023. When she arrived with two other horses, it was clear she hadn’t had much recent handling and was in need of a little extra TLC.
This lovely mare is as sweet as they come, though she can be a little shy when meeting new people. Once she feels safe, her gentle personality really shines through. Lainey has been turned out with both mares and geldings and does best living outside 24/7 with access to shelter. She’s barefoot and stands well for the farrier, though she does get anxious when separated from her herd mates.
Lainey would love to find a special person to call her own. She’s available as a companion-only horse and would be a wonderful, loyal friend for another equine.
