Pixie is a little firecracker of a pony, and we just love her. She is as adorable as she is opinionated. She has previous driving experience; we are unsure of her riding history. She can be nervous of new people, but once you make a trusting connection with her, she’s all in for all the fun things you might want to do with her, especially cuddles! She’s a very sensitive pony who appreciates when her person moves slowly and remains present with her. In new situations, she can get nervous and benefits from a calm, experienced handler. She is not appropriate as a kid’s pony – we are looking for a quiet, experienced partner for her.
She is currently turned out in a mixed herd and holds her own with the bigger horses. In fact, if there is drama, she’s likely right in the middle of it, if not the primary actor!
She is currently barefoot and is typically good for the vet and farrier if they go slowly with her, though she has had some moments of reactivity and challenging behavior at times. She is turned out during the day and stalled at night, though she has lived outside 24/7 with a run-in in the past and done well.
