IN REHABILITATION

Daisy came to us alongside Brooklyn, Liberty, and Gibson from an extreme neglect case – horses left to endure years without proper shelter, some standing atop deep layers of manure, with little access to consistent food or care. Like the others, she arrived with the effects of long-term nutritional deficiencies, her body quietly reflecting years of being overlooked.

When Daisy first arrived, she kept her distance. She was shy, difficult to catch, and unsure of what to make of the people now trying to care for her. She also carries a lasting reminder of her past – blind in her right eye, likely the result of an untreated injury long ago.

But Daisy is changing.

As she has settled into a safer, more predictable world, she’s begun to soften – starting to seek out attention, lingering a little longer, showing glimpses of curiosity where there was once only caution. Stay tuned for updates on her transformation as we get to know her better!
