Zara is a beautiful gray Arabian mare who recently returned to the MSSPA alongside her friend, Tales. She originally came to the farm as part of a seizure involving seven horses, arriving dangerously underweight before blossoming into the stunning mare she was always meant to be.
Now, we’re helping her heal once again.
True to her Arabian heritage, Zara is deeply sensitive. She wears both her heart and her ghosts on her sleeve, approaching the world with caution as she learns, once again, that she’s safe.
But every day, we see a little more of the horse beneath the fear.
A curious glance. A softer eye. A fleeting moment of quiet security that wasn’t there the day before. Those moments may seem small, but they are the milestones that matter most.
Thankfully, Zara doesn’t have to walk this journey alone. Her steady friend, Tales, is rarely far away, offering the quiet reassurance that only another horse can provide.
Zara still has a long road ahead of her, but one thing is certain: we’ll be walking every step of it with her.
